Dr. El Husseiny is a governance and ESG expert with 30 years of experience leading advisory projects for organizations such as USAID, IFC, EBRD, and the EU Fund. He has worked across fragile and middle-income countries, advising regulators, assessing ESG practices, and building the capacity of institutes of directors. He has conducted governance assessments and ESG appraisals across the MENA region, led transformation projects for private sector clients, and delivered tailored solutions to financial institutions, corporates, SMEs, and family businesses. A recipient of the 2024 Lex Falcon Global Award for Governance & Compliance, Dr. El Husseiny has trained thousands of board members and led research on governance and board diversity across multiple continents. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Prince Edward Island and holds a PhD from the Swiss School of Business, along with DBA, MBA, and MPhil degrees from Maastricht University.
